Cleaning Challenge Day 3- The Bedroom

April 4, 2013 By Michelle Knight 2 Comments

Today’s challenge was a little difficult for me because I have had 2 sick children this week and one that I had to pick up from his cousin’s house later in the day.  He spent the night over there for Spring Break.

I was a little worried about showing our bedroom pictures because our room is in the “future” process of getting a makeover, but we have to find the time.

It seems our bedroom is the catchall room because only we go in there and I learn to live with the clutter. Per the Flylady, I do make my bed every week and try to do my best at a weekly home blessing.  Sometimes in the winter it is impossible with the flu etc.

I am a little late posting tonight because as I said before I had to pick up my oldest son, and then we stopped at the Antique Mall to shop around.  He and I love the antique mall so I decided to use it as some mom and son time.

So, therefore my post and cleaning was super late.

Before

Here is my before picture.  I did not have a lot of time so I did a super “swift” pick up and clean.  I set the timer for 10 min.  (definitely not long enough).

Proof that my room was dirty. I cleaned my windows quickly.  As you can see they needed it.

Here is my weekly cleaning reminder section, plus I cleaned the mirrors around the post it notes.

Finally, this is my after.  Please ignore the décor.

Thanks. It was about 2 years ago that I picked it out and was going to paint and decorate with those colors.
That hasn’t happened yet. Maybe another 2 years?
