Today I made a delicious recipe that we all love. It was a rainy day, and it is easy to make. The recipe is very budget friendly and wonderful! Try it!
EGG DROP SOUP from the C is for Cooking recipes from the Street. This recipe book is written by Sesame Street. I use this book alot when making lunches for the kids.
2 cans reduced-sodium chicken broth
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 garlic clove
1 teaspoon dark Asian sesame oil
Add the eggs to the pan ( I keep the pan on low heat) Then add the chicken broth, soy sauce, scallion, garlic clove, and sesame oil. After everything is added, stir it well and let it boil. I usually let it boil for about 2 min.
After that, it is ready to serve!
For my own version, I use chicken broth from a crockpot chicken. I save it and freeze it for soups. the Asian sesame oil is cheaper in specialty markets.
I buy my soy sauce at the Dollar Store. This is one of my favorite recipes to serve and save!
