Each year we go to the State Fair. Each person in our family (except my husband who has allergies) looks forward to the fair. I am lucky enough that I get to go twice. The reason that I go to the fair twice is for my oldest son. 15 years ago he was almost born at the fair.
So, that is our mother/son activity that only we do for one day of the year all day long. I do go with the other kids and my husband, but it is a separate day. I don’t want them to miss out on a great day at the fair so I go twice.
My parents always took us to the fair and I love those memories. I was lucky enough to go with all of my cousins and it was a grand event.
It is very important to me that I spend that one special memory with all of my kids. I have 3 boys so it will always be a mommy and son day with each one!
Here are some pictures of our fun day:
This was also at the DNR. My son explained to me that paddlefish were once used for their babies. People would cut them open and sell them. That is homeschooling for you.
