Indoor Homeschool Games for Winter

Winter is a hard time for most kids.  Use indoor winter activities to use up extra energy. Homeschooling allows for flexibility. Homeschool kids can add indoor winter activities into their school day. Long, boring days with boredom will cease with these fun ideas.

Try to use one new winter activity each day. Most of these activities work well after school and on weekends.

Trying to choose between so many different activities is hard. The best way that I have found to empty a bucket of boredom list is to write them on a calendar. Each year I drag out the old calendar that doubles as a journal. Looking back through my notes I create a new list of fun idea’s to complete. Using my same notes, I may add in new games to try.

TV, electronics and anything else that plugs in takes over instead of family time. Try unplugging and put away everything that has an off button. As a mom, I have to unplug too. As hard as that is sometimes, it is important to show them it can be done.

Gather everyone around the kitchen table, grab snacks and drinks for a night of family fun. Make this a January to remember.

Ideas for winter indoor activities will be a lifesaver for moms. Homeschool kids will love that mom put together a bucket list for them to complete. One or two activities will send boredom away.

Use a planner to reuse ideas from year to year. To see how our homeschool days go follow me on Instagram.
