Preschool: Letter F Week

October 27, 2014 By Michelle Knight Leave a Comment

My preschool time with KO is very special.  That 30 -45 min. is marked out just for him.  It is very important that each day all of my children have had one on one time with me.

For KO’s preschool I love to find fun things for him to do, and it gives me great joy to see him enoying the activities.  Just the other night he asked me if he could paint.  It was 8:00 pm and I said “paint what” and said “paint in my preschool”.  It was so cute except for the fact that we are on fall break and I had cleaned up my last mess for the day!

For letter “F” we worked on our coloring sheet, handwriting sheets to practice big “F” and little “f”.

We made a fish to go with our “F” and KO is really coloring well.  At first we were awkward with holding crayons but since we color more now it is getting easier.   KO is also staying in the lines and trying to be conscientious.

I worked with C on his spanish because apparently teenagers still need mom’s help.  He is struggling with the language, but he has also not been dilligent about using the calendar system set up for him.

K is doing very well on his phonics.  Words are starting to come easier to him.  We have a word wall, and practice building words with banana grams.  This really helps with recogition and spelling at the same time.

For phonics K spends 15 min. per day, and it seems like that amount of time works well for him.

And then we wrapped up our daily learning time with pumpkin activities.  Even though we are on fall break I still keep a little bit of learning time but I make it fun.
This helps to break up some monotonous rainy days where we are stuck inside!

Do you homeschool multiple ages?  If so, what are your daily activities in school for them?
