Peace of Mind
Less Stress with Time Management
It is a way to add a couple of hours back into my week. Adding time relieves stress. Right? Right. Or so we will see. What else have I done to add time? Laundry is added to the washer the night before, and washed. That way in the morning it is ready to be switched over and dried. In my daily “schedule” (term used loosely) is my family laundry time.
I cannot and will not try to do it all myself. So, for 30 min. each day I have everyone, even my littles do something in laundry work. Fold, put away, organize, or sort. But, we do it as a family so it is a bonding experience? That is my story and I am sticking to it no matter what the kids say.
One more thing that I have added to my morning routine has been very helpful. Getting all of my ducks in a row help to keep our days running more smoothly. If I am not focused on the laundry, bed, or other household chores then I am free to train, homeschool, and snuggle my kids. Yes. I said it. Snuggle. I don’t want to be the mom who has made the bed every morning for the next 20 years, but my kids do not remember the times I held and loved on them. So, I added to my morning routine…..SNUGGLE TIME! They love it, and everybody chips in to get morning work done.
I sit down and each child takes a turn sitting on my lap. At that time I will do something silly like a voice, or tickle, or the airplane. Simple. Bonding. Yet very important.
Do you have any quick tips to add to my list?
