Spring Break Activities for Preschool

March 26, 2013 By Michelle Knight Leave a Comment

 Spring Break Week

Kids are out of school.

This week is Spring Break for the kids in our area.  Since my oldest attends a school part time on Th/Fri, we are on a public school schedule.  For my preschooler that means we are also out of school.

All of my well laid plans for a FUN and FRUGAL week are gone.  Well, not gone, just diminishing as I look out the window.  It will definitely be a frugal week, because we are snowed IN!  How crazy is this?  I am looking out my window now and we have about 4-5 inches of snow.  I was ready for spring, no coats, digging up worms etc.

Nope, I live in INDIANA.  The joke is the weather changes by the hour.  For this week, I am going to make lemonade out of lemons, or in this case snow ice out of snow.

I am STILL going to have a fun and frugal week, it just needs to be tweaked a little.

We will:
1.  Go outside and be thankful for the fun snow that God sent to us.  We can make snowmen, snowballs and go sledding. At least there is NO school to worry or make we have complete.
2. Make a craft at the kitchen table for Easter and work on our weekly memory verse.
3. Finally  I can look up a recipe for snow ice cream and try to make it for the kids.  That should be an activity they will remember when they recount the snowstorm in March of 2013.

I knew this was going to be a great week.

What plans do you have for Spring Break? Is there a way to have fun and spend little or no money?
