Summer has started finally. The weather is warm and sunny. Our pool is STILL not open. We have an issue with our pump. Hopefully, it will be open by the 30th of June. We have been busy filling our summer bucket list with field trips to Connor Prairie ( It is a town that takes you back into time), working out and swimming at the YMCA, summer swim lessons, baseball games, the list goes on.
A lot of fun memories are being created this summer with my kids. My home is suffering but the kids are having a great time!
My summer bucket list contains two sections. One is for the outside of our home, there are changes to the landscaping that I want to finish. I have either been waiting for the materials to go on sale, or brainstorming ideas to use items that we have around the home.
The second part to my personal bucket list, the one separate from what I want to accomplish with the children is classes. During the school year the children’s activities take precedence over any personal learning that I want to engage in for my interests. So, when summer comes I sign up for the classes that I am interested in taking. Now, whether all of the items on my list are marked off before the end of summer is a whole other story. Hopefully they will not be on next summer’s bucket list.
Here is my bucket list. Both sides of it!
1. Take crochet class at JoAnn Fabrics and complete the project.
I like to crochet and want to learn how to do patterns and possibly a scarf for winter. That is possibly. I am a beginner.
2. Finish my apron class at JoAnn Fabrics.
I started an Apron last February, but am still very new at cutting patterns. I don’t want to mess it up because I really like the fabric.
3. Take Wilton Course I in cake decorating.
During the school year it is nearly impossible for me to take any classes, so I want to take this class and complete it so that I can successfully decorate the cake for my middle son’s 5th birthday.
4. Finish landscaping the pool area.
I want to move around all of rocks to our front driveway to create a dividing line for the gravel and grass. Then put in landscaping border around the rocks. Having large rocks in our backyard is hazardous for our kids because they are always walking over them.
5. Get my Facebook cover picture installed.
That is giving me troubles because my designer is having trouble getting into my Facebook to install it. I don’t have any idea how to get it installed.
6. Take the kids berry picking.
I think they will love it, even though they are in preschool. It may end up a little messy but they wash off!
7. Have 2 S’More nights
We have alot of brush to get rid of and the kids like s’mores. It is win/win.
8. Keep taking the kids bowling with our free summer coupons. Go to kidsbowlfree.com to sign up.
It is free and a great time with the kids. I get alot of great pictures.
9. Take the kids to an outdoor movie.
I don’t know if they still have any drive-ins in our area, but I want to take the kids to experience it one night. They don’t know how much fun we used to have at a drive-in!
Well, there is my bucket list. What is yours?
Cheers,
Michelle
How fun! I need to make some summer plans too!
You’re gonna have a fantastic summer! And you’ve inspired me to make some seasonal lists, thank you!

Great start to your list. I have started decorating cakes with marshmallow fondant. I love it, it’s so much fun and it’s a great way to get the kids involved.
I love crocheting and I’m part of some wonderful groups. Crocheting and blogging will be the death of me, lol.
