Pay It Forward

July 25, 2014 By Michelle Knight 1 Comment

In today’s world it is so hard to find true friends. True servants that give selflessly. When you do find people like that, show them appreciation.

Then remember the acts of kindness, and pay it forward.  A neighbor of ours selflessly gave his time today to my teenager.nan investment that will be with him for a lifetime.  What did he do? We’ll Monday he asked me if he could take him to his country club.
Before they went, he brought over some golf balls, and a driving iron to practice.  My son was so excited that I did not have to “find” something for him to do all week! He was practicing for his golf day.
Today when I went I to his room to wake him up, he was gone.  After recovering from shock I realized that he was in the kitchen. All ready to go. Yep. A fifteen year old boy got himself up, ready, ate breakfast and anxiously awaited for his friend to arrive.

They left for a few hours, practiced and he had a great time.  This wonderful neighbor of mine GAVE him a set of clubs, purchased new shoes for him AND bought him a golf hat…I’m not done yet. He also set up to professional lessons with him for next week.

Why? Because he said ” you can’t take it with you”.

Great lesson for my day. It really gave me a different spin on the important things in life.

What have you done lately to pay it forward?   Have you given selflessly?

Cheers,

Michelle
