Quick Baked Spaghetti For Busy Moms

September 4, 2015 By Michelle Knight Leave a Comment

Last night I made one of our favorite dishes that every frugal mom should love. Quick Baked Spaghetti is super easy and I’m sure that everyone has their own version. I’m really good at trying a new recipe then the next time creating my way.

Whenever we are going to need a quick meal before or after an activity that is when I plan to have my Quick Baked Spaghetti. If this recipe is made in double portions could be used for lunch the next day. How about that? Two meals for the price of one. I told you this was frugal. *grin*

This recipe like I said before usually has so many versions because everybody adapts it to their style.  My style is quick, easy, and delicious. Oh. Also something healthy the kids will eat.

Ingredients:

  1. 1 box of spaghetti
  2. 1 jar of pasta sauce or 4 cans of diced tomatoes
  3. 1 lb. of ground beef
  4. 1 tsp. oregano
  5. salt and pepper
  6. 1 teaspoon of garlic
  7. onions (optional)
  8. 2 cups mozzarella cheese

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Bring 3 cups of water to a boil and add spaghetti. Boil for 10 minutes. While this is boiling add ground beef to skillet and brown. (So that it doesn’t stick add Pam to the bottom for easy cleanup).

For tomato sauce I use diced tomatoes that I have put through a food processor. They do not need to be put in the food processor diced tomatoes can be added to the ground beef.

But before they are added to the ground beef I put the tomatoes in  pan over med. heat and cook until they boil.  Then I add my spices and stir.

After that the tomatoes will sit and simmer while I get the spaghetti, and ground beef into my cooking pan. The tomatoes cook for 15 min.

After adding my spaghetti and ground beef then I add my tomatoes.  Now, I do not layer my food, It needs to be mixed up. So stir the ingredients together in the cooking pan.

Mozzarella cheese is the last ingredient that I add. It goes over the top of my spaghetti meal.

Cook at 350 degrees for 15 min. Serve.

Side dishes:

Salad with Italian dressing

French bread (warm)

The next time that there is a busy night on the schedule try “Quick Baked Spaghetti”. Your family will love you for it! Follow me on my facebook page for tips and advice on the mastery of motherhood.

Cheers,

Michelle
