Twenty Dollar Challenge: Day 2

September 21, 2013 By Michelle Knight Leave a Comment

As you can see from this picture that something about this post will relate to Starbucks.  It is one of my weaknesses.  I wish I had my own Barista that makes my coffee each morning at home.  But I don’t.
Anyway, my challenge is to see how long I can make my budgeted amount of “spend” money to last.  Our family budget has many categories so the one we created to use for our misc. use is “spend”.  It seems lately that as soon as I get my $20.00 I spend it.  So, I am trying to see if I can make the money last until the next payday and budget night.

So far on day 2 I spent $3.87 on Starbucks.  Normally I would get the Venti, but I knew that I was trying to conserve my money and went for the tall.  Not overly excited, but I am happy that I don’t have that guilty feeling!

I also avoided going out to lunch with the kids and ate Ramen noodle soup. My new grand total left is $16.13.

How are you doing on the challenge?  Leave a comment below or on my Facebook page.

Enjoy the weekend!
