Weekly Action Plan 6/1/15-6/7/15

June 1, 2015 By Michelle Knight Leave a Comment

This week is the first week of our summer vacation! I am so excited except for the weather.  It was 60 degrees today, and why that is bad because yesterday it was 85 degrees.  When summer hits my heart is at the pool with my kids, or outside playing. When it is cold then we are all back inside.

Homeschooling 4 children, activities, and running a couple of businesses keeps me very busy during the school year so I try to save some of my cleaning time in the summer for tasks that are not achieveable during the year.

This week will start my new weekly action plan….. my summer cleaning list.  I also had to re-work my weekly home blessing tasks, but that is still to be determined.

In the summer my children still do the same chores that they did during school.  The chores around her shift when they start back to school.  My goal in the summer is to “give them freedom”. By that I mean it really is not my job to keep them busy, that becomes their job. My job is to keep the house running, feed them, play with them, run them to some activities etc.

Have you started a weekly action plan? Mine is pretty basic:

Weekly Action Plan:

1.  Put together Avon order.

2. Call customers and deliver order.

3.  Hand out books and samples.

4. Fundraiser food and prep.

5. Buy birthday card and gift.

6.  Med. Transcription work.

7.  Summer Schedule

8.  Blog Post (I am writing now). Maybe one more.

9.  Finish Weekly Cleaning List.

Summer Cleaning List:

Summer Cleaning List

1. Closets

2. Baseboards

3. Kitchen Cabinets (inside)

4. Shed

5. Refrigerator

6. Curtains

7. Basement Floor

8. Basement Windows (inside /out)

9. Scrub kitchen floors (hand brush)

10. Organize wires in the sunroom

11. Look for a new couch

This is acleaning list that I have kept track of all year.  All of the areas that make me crazy…now I have time to do them.  Probably in time segments of 15 min. per day, or one day per week.

Use summer wisely is a saying around our home.  If you create a weekly action plan try to mark off your entire list this week, then comment on one of my social media channels…help us all to stay motivate:)

Cheers,

Michelle
