Winter Indoor Activities On A Shoestring Budget

March 7, 2024 By Michelle Knight 2 Comments

Winter is a hard time for most kids.  Use indoor winter activities on a shoestring budget to use up extra energy. Kids need  indoor winter activities. Make a list of fun new ideas to try from the list below. Winter is hard on kids. They can’t go out and play, and when they do shoes, coats, hats and gloves play a big part in their outdoor world. I do try to take my kids out daily for 30 minutes each day. Having four boys’ means that I have to be proactive in getting out a lot of energy.

Indoor activities keep them busy and their minds occupied. Depending on the age keeping a variety of different things to do such as drawing, scooter boards, planned activities and more prepped keeps away boredom.

Try to use one new winter activity each day. Indoor activities on a shoestring budget was inspired from my lack of preparedness in previous years’.

Trying to choose between so many different activities is hard. The best way that I have found to empty a bucket of boredom list is to write them on a calendar. Each year I drag out the old calendar that doubles as a journal. Looking back through my notes I create a new list of fun idea’s to complete. Using my same notes, I may add in new games to try.
