Preschool: Letters G, K, and L

January 22, 2015 By Michelle Knight 1 Comment

This week we reviewed a few letters.  My goal for preschool is to learn and recognize the numbers up to 1-20 and know the alphabet.  Goals are important in all area’s of life, and for me they help me gauge progress.  Homeschool goals also help me to stay focused on what needs to be finished each day, week, month and year.

Everyday we sing the alphabet or do an alphabet activity. Repetition helps little kids to remember and K loves songs.  He also likes his individual preschool time with mommy uninterrupted.

We worked on cutting and pasting, as well as matching, colors and a bible verse.  45min. is about tops for the amount of time he will give me before the “are we almost done ” starts in.
For a reward if he completes his school then he gets cartoons for an hour while I work with his older brother.

After a long day of homeschool, training, feeding and caring for four children I make dinner as easy as possible.  I find the easiest kitchen gadgets in my cabinets to make preparation fast.  Most of our dinners through the week are made in the crockpot, and I use to Ozeri pepper mill to help with seasoning the food. If something needs chopped then I use the food chopper.  Food prep definitely needs to be within 30 min., or I break out a can of soup.

What do you do in your preschool?  Does your preschooler look forward to this time with mom?
